Design Process
Initial Visit - By Appointment Only
During the initial visit, different types of products are reviewed to understand their distinct qualities and features.
A design direction is decided by discussing colour and materials and by choosing the style of cabinetry, the type of wood and its stain and/or glaze. These choices may change as the process continues – it’s not final.
The layout and the “as is” situation is reviewed and the client’s unique needs and requirements are discussed.
An approximate cost of the cabinetry will be assessed. The design process will begin only if the quoted price is reasonable for your allocated budget.
Second Visit - Review of Design
This visit may be one week or more from the initial visit depending on the project’s timeline and the designer’s schedule.
The review of the design usually entails understanding the placement of cabinets and the flow of traffic; the relationship between cabinetry and space.
The next step in the design process is to be more specific with the cabinetry selection, in terms of functionality and options that best suit your needs.
A review of the cost will also take place at this time.
Third Visit - Site Measurement and Deposit
The third visit may be one week or more from the second visit depending on the project’s timeline and the designer’s schedule.
At this point and on-site measurement of the space is taken to ensure dimensions are correct as per the design.
All appliance specifications must be determined by this time.
All design modifications are reviewed and finalized.
A non-refundable deposit is collected to create working drawings for the order process. This deposit will be deducted from the total owning at the time of signing the contract.
Fourth Visit - Sales Agreement
All design information will be reviewed and signed.
All specifications and procedures will be reviewed and signed.
A 50% deposit at the time of signing is required to process the order.
